Playrooms Support Guide: Co-op, Languages, Platforms and Audio
Check confirmed Playrooms single-player and language support, the developer's co-op comments, and the limits of platform and audio claims.
Does Playrooms have multiplayer or co-op?
The verified listing is single-player. Developers acknowledge demand for co-op, but describe it as dependent on the game’s success and a substantial technical and design change. Their comments are possibilities for later investigation, not a multiplayer mode you can currently enable or a dated roadmap commitment.
October 16 co-op answer and October 27 development explanation.
Separate save slots let people maintain separate progress. They do not allow simultaneous play in the same world.
Which languages are confirmed?
The official full-game and demo tables show English and German for interface, complete audio and subtitles. French has been requested and discussed, but the developer’s replies describe considering it rather than a released language option. Use the live language table when deciding whether the available version suits you.
| Feature | Confirmed in the checked store listing |
|---|---|
| English interface, audio and subtitles | Yes |
| German interface, audio and subtitles | Yes |
| French translation | Not listed |
| Additional language release dates | Not confirmed here |
Official listing and developer’s French-support discussion.
Do not confuse a community translation offer with an implemented language or infer another language from the developer’s reply language.
What platforms and controller claims can you rely on?
Windows is the platform confirmed by the checked store metadata. Controller improvements are documented in demo patch notes, but controller support alone does not establish a native Linux or macOS release, console version, Steam Deck certification or any particular performance target on handheld hardware.
Try the official demo on the hardware you intend to use. Our controller and Steam Deck page separates a player’s drift report from developer-confirmed control changes. No Proton version or handheld frame-rate setting has been verified here.
Can you turn down the fluorescent humming separately?
We found a player requesting a dedicated humming-sound slider, but no developer answer or patch establishing that specific control. The store lists general volume controls, stereo and surround sound. Those broad feature labels do not tell us which individual sound categories have their own sliders.
Original humming-slider request.
Check the current Audio settings for the controls actually offered; this page does not invent a separate hum control. If your concern is frightening encounters rather than volume, Cozy mode is confirmed to remove monsters. It should not be described as a guarantee that all ambient sounds are removed.
